I’d even go as far as saying that meditation has finally gone mainstream. This thousand year old practice of quieting the mind and slowing stress responses is all the rage and I couldn’t be happier seeing it totally trendy.
Meditation isn’t about becoming the next Guru. It’s about training yourself to be aware and gaining a healthy perspective. It’s also not about becoming a new person, however, it does help people make progressive ongoing changes for the better.
Meditation isn’t about “turning off your thoughts,” it’s about being the observer of your thoughts and without judgement. It’s like the pause button so many of us wish we could push at times, and taking that pause to breathe. When we begin to get comfortable with the breath, it allows us to access our greater potential.
Like learning anything new, it takes practice. Think of it like exercising a muscle. You don’t go to the gym on the first day lifting your personal best, right? It takes practice getting comfortable, consistency, dedication and the motivation to keep going wether you have or haven’t seen the benefits yet.
The best part of meditation is it’s extremely beneficial, its free, it can be done anywhere and everyone can do it! It is a practice that has profound effects on each individual and it can fit into everyone’s modern lives. There is no reason to not have a meditation practice, and I’m here to help you! You can become less stressed and anxious, improve energy and creativity, up-level your immune system, have improved clarity of your mind and increased resiliency all by taking a seat and getting quiet.
